"My DropBox" V1.XX Beta |
small ($10) donations welcome!
|
Still under development, this free version of My DropBox is a unique peer-to-peer picture sharing utility.
Install a copy on your machine and a copy on Grandma's machine (currently Windows XP/Vista only, sorry), set up identities at
both ends (can be done during install), and enjoy the simplicity of dragging and dropping those pictures of the grandkids
or the latest summer vacation into a box on your desktop and have them pop up for viewing at the other end. No need to worry about
whether Grandma has the right viewer, because it's built right into the application. Or set up the screen saver as a slideshow of her
My DropBox directory, and turn her PC's monitor into a digital picture frame - that you control. Drop new pictures and delete old ones.
Works with high-speed or dial-up connections. Identities are fully encrypted and authenticated, to prevent unwanted connections.

Annoy your co-workers or frighten your cat. This little utility sits in your task bar and chimes the half-hour
in traditional naval fashion (see Wikipedia reference).

"SetBuild32" V2.01 |
 |
Tired of keeping track of build numbers and dates? This simple little command-line utility will do it for you.
Simply call it from your build batch or makefile to create a C/C++ header file or Java class (/J), then include
the provided constants in your source. Includes a wide variety of date/time string contants for display, plus a
4-digit build count that automatically increments every time the utility is called (rolling over at 9999). Use to
display the current build and date, or, for firmware that has no UI, to include a build string at the top of the
binary to help keep track of binaries out in the field. Try it! Call it from the command line and check out the
header or class file it generates. Hey, it's only a 20K download!
